Life After Death

Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live. Norman Cousins Saturday, September 14, 2019 marks the one year devastation my family experienced as the result of the sudden death of my 28 year old nephew who was gunned down in front of his apartment after arriving home from work. I would like to take this time to thank my Heavenly Father for His power of healing. If you have read the blog I wrote last year title, "The Day God Broke My Heart", you read of the hurt and pain I felt. Today, I write this blog giving praises, glory, and honor to God who has mended my broken heart and has given me light at the end of this tunnel. Because I believe there is life after death for those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, I know that my nephew is not only in a better place, but that I will get to see him again. Javier Montel Woods lived a great life of service to others. And if I can name one take away from his short life, it would be to maximize the moment each day I am given-to serve wholeheartedly. BE BLESSED! |
From My Heart To Yours

When freedom does not have a purpose, when it does not wish to know anything about the rule of the law engraved in the hearts of men and women, when it does not listen to the voice of conscience, it turns against humanity and society. Pope John Paul II My nephew was violently gunned down back in September after arriving home from work by someone who had forsaken his freedom by not knowing his purpose in life. Because of his inability to seek his purpose, the life of a 28 yr old man, a good man, a purpose driven man, was taken away from us. Not only has this happened to my family, but to many families all over the world. It is time out for the foolishness that inhabits the soul of mankind due to lack of vision/purpose. It is the responsibility of each individual to seek out and pursue his/her destined purpose in life. Doing so, not only makes life meaningful, but it also leaves less time for senseless crimes and idleness. Be Blessed! For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others. Nelson Mandela. |
